she sits, her mind blank
little kids remind her
how grown she has
become since she was
their age
old people all around
they lived in a world
that's no longer present
oh the stories they
must have
the experiences
the moments that are
most important
most important
to them
sometimes she wishes
the world wasn't filled
with technology or
fancy things
that people would talk
instead of text
that people would be judged
by who they are
and not the skin they have
sunday morning
beautiful singers are
upfront thanking God
for this life
focused faces are content
looking at them singing
she continues to sit
her mind is now wondering
about all the souls
and their stories on this
september sunday morning
