Sweetest Devotion Inspiring Moments

Light on next door
Children laughing
Dancing in circles
Like a ballerina
On the wood floor
Imagining people's happiness
That is not my own
Inspiration struck
Thought provoking
Emotionally beautiful
Touching life moments
Within one breath
And a smile that
Lights up the world
By a fire one snowy evening

Inhale Exhale // Peace without War

Inhale exhale
Breathing slowly
As calming music plays
Remembering to breathe
In moments of crisis
In a world full
Of chaos and evil
Amongst the good
The universe is quiet
Watching humans
Cope and question
Life's meaning
How to make change
Without war
Wanting to stop
The screaming
In the silence
Needing to feel hope
Amid a lingering fear
We wish was never there
Dreaming a dream
That feels as real
As jumping to touch
A single star blinded
By the sun at daybreak
Breathing slowly
Inhale exhale

↟↟

The chains we hold
Fall apart while
Falling together
We want change
We need freedom
To be reminded
To stick together
In sad times
Against violence
To find sanity
With the good
Breathing steadily
With still hands
Knowing the difference
Between celebrating
Fireworks and
Destructive terror
Finding kindness
Amongst strangers
Without questioning
Their motives
Feeling safe in
This beautiful world
Not letting hate
Control our fears

Mind Tricks

I see things that are not there

A speedy mouse running
Under couches vanishes
Before my eyes see it

Cat sitting on the floor
Light shines through
An open window onto
The animal that was
Never lying there

Different cat sits in
The hallway at night
Is replaced by a vacuum
Cleaner at second glance

My mind does this all the time
For reasons I do not know

My eyes answer before
My mind can comprehend
The question that was
Never asked in the first place

New York, Paris, Venice.

I look at places
I have never experienced
And wonder what it would
Be like to walk those streets
I see in photographs

How beautiful they are
How inspired I am by
One image of a
New York street
Tall skyscrapers
With plenty of character
And stories to share

White buildings with
Light rooftops and
Black railings with
Gorgeous details in
The city of love

Dreaming of one day
Taking my own photographs
And writing poems of places
That changed my perception

I want to capture my feelings
Of sailing through canals
Surrounded by history and
Beauty in Venice that I dream
Would leave me breathless
And feeling like the world
Is a masterpiece of it's own

One day it will happen
And beautiful art
Will come from those
Moments in cities
I once dreamed of
Through photographs

november's poems.

day one

exhaustion is not
the word
tired doesn't describe
this feeling

not wanting to go
back to sleep
but not fully
awake either

daylight savings
messes with
my body

I sigh

day three

two leaves appear
as leaches on the
fast pace road
far from the water
dying from the lack
of blood in their
system leaping like
worms in the wind
helplessly stranded
from the tree
they once hung from

day four

sunshine escapes
with the puffy clouds
disappearing behind
the falling rain

droplets fall
onto my car
wind blows the leaves
I just photographed
into the crisp air
getting lost in
the ever changing
seasons in this world

day seven

stupid people think
they have it all

I wonder what goes
through their brains
what they speak
is not sane

there's a difference
between taking a joke
and being petty

day ten

stars glisten in the
night sky lighting
the sleeping earth

blinded by the overpowering
light of the sun
breeze blows by

pushing leaves with
my tires as the
wind guides my way

day eleven

once again
the transition
is near
saying goodbye
to the magic
of autumn
to unfortunately
welcome the
presence of
cold winter

day seventeen

streets turn to glass
mirroring the world above

headlights turn to christmas lights
red and green bulbs all around

snow gently falls to the ground
silencing the moments of now

day twenty-one

golden sky outlined
by dark trees
with it's little leaves

night is not dark
dim light by falling
snowflakes that will
be gone by
day's begin

day twenty-two

we all have meaning
to at least one
person in life

sometimes that's all
we need to know
to get through
the day

day twenty-six

scars never leave
only fade into
your skin
becoming a
permanent
part of your
body
a reminder of
the moment
that left a mark

day twenty-eight

white snow floats
through the cold
morning air

autumn is whisked away
by snow's sudden arrival

everything that once was
is now something else

snow is not horrible
but I prefer autumn's leaves
